Am "Tag der Frau" zeigen wir einen Film über eine Frau: "Anam".
Als die traditionsbewusste türkische Putzfrau erfährt, dass ihr Sohn Deniz drogenabhängig ist, will sie ihn aus der ´Szene" befreien. Dafür betritt sie - unterstützt von den Freundinnen aus der Putzkolonne, der mannstollen Deutschen Rita und der abergläubischen Afrikanerin Didi - eine ihr unbekannte Welt.

Anam is a 40-year-old traditional Turkish wife and mother who lives with her family in Germany, where she works as a cleaning lady. When Anam finds out that her 20-year-old son Deniz has drifted into the drug scene and that her husband Mehmet is having an affair with a colleague, her whole world collapses around her. Although desperate, she is determined to fight and goes to look for Deniz. Instead, she finds his girlfriend Mandy who is also a drug addict. She decides to take care of the girl who is a stranger to her and finds herself confronted with an entirely unknown world. When she finally manages to track Deniz down to the cold-blooded dealer Hassain, she is rejected by him. Anam is forced to realize that, painful as it is, she can only help Deniz if he is prepared to accept her help. When Mandy dies trying to reconcile mother and son, Anam is determined to do everything she can to get her son out of the clutches of the dealer. However, now it really is a matter of life or death.
Anam is a brilliant portrait of a strong-willed mother who fights for her family and who manages to free herself of cultural restraints far away from her native country.
Buket Alakus was born in 1971 in Istanbul and grew up in Hamburg. After finishing her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin in 1995, she studied Film Directing at Hamburg University's Institute of Theater, Music and Film from 1996-1998. Her films include: the shorts Martin (1995), Schluessel (1996) � which won First Prize for Best Main Actress at the Festival Mondial du Cinéma de Courts Métrages in Belgium and First Prize for Best Screenplay at the Festival Donne in Corto Transeurope in Italy, Tango (1997), Kismet (1998), her award-winning feature debut Anam (2000), and Offside (Eine andere Liga, 2004). She is currently developing her next feature Baba Oglu.

Ups, und entschuldigung, das ich nicht auf Deutsch geschrieben habe.. ich habe einfach vergessen, dass man hier so macht, so lange nicht gewesen! Und auch nicht Deutsch benutzt... :(
